How this calculator works

For a GST-inclusive price, taxable value = inclusive total ÷ (1 + GST rate). GST is the difference between the total and taxable value.

GST structure note

For a typical intra-State taxable supply, GST is split into CGST and SGST/UTGST. For an inter-State taxable supply, IGST applies. The applicable rate depends on the classification and current notifications, so the rate is editable rather than guessed from the product or service name.
